Does anybody know where the VIN is located on the engine?
need to check if matches with chassis
(engine looks way to new for the car mileage)

Sorry chief, but the engine serial number is different from the chassis VIN. The Russian MB Club's VIN decoder can give you the serial number for the engine and transmission, as it was when it left the factory.

Wow! Yes, I see others had found this years ago, but still, it is the best W202 VIN decoder I've seen!
