Port and Polish

has anyone ever considered porting and polishing there stock header?...would this give you any kind of significant gain in power?

on a car that is not heavily (and i mean HEAVILY) modified you don't see any difference. You are much better off improving the many other bottlenecks in the system such as the intake, exhaust, cats and etc. Also stock exhaust manfolds actually have very smooth surface so theres nothing to polish.

i was gonna get heads and supercharger ported and poslished, proven told me it really isn't worth it. Port and poslish should be the last mod you do.

bingo, exactly right. honestly on M104 its not even necessary. MB did such a good job with the M104's internals its not necessary. The main thing is improving airflow & efficiency of all the bolt on items.
