Somebody in another forum posted that one of these instruction sets just instruct you to soak your MAF in a baggie full of rubbing alcohol, then shake vigorously, then allow to dry.

Go with the CRC for $6 at Pep Boys.

Throttlebody cleaner is a no-no. It is not formulated for MAFs. MAF cleaner has to be formulated to not attack any of the components and it can't leave any residue. Most TB cleaners have a lubricating component which would be bad for an MAF.

Gentlemen,
I was not entirely serious with my last post. To me the Ebay auction is a scam. I attempted to get the point across that if you were to clean your MAF sensor, there are products from reputable companies for this purpose. I have used CRC products with great success in the past. A cleaner of this type must leave NO residue as it dries. Try cleaning a greasy surface with alcohol and you will usually see a greasy residue as the alcohol dries

If you haven't done so already, use the CRC MAF cleaner on your sensor. Should remove the film left by the TB cleaner.
I have used this product on several vehicles with no problems.
