I am about to buy some wheels for my c280 sport, and I want to get some 19's but have read everyone has problems rubbing and what not, just want to know if 19x8.5 et40, or do I need to stick with 35 on offset, will they fit on the W202 or should I just get 18's staggered. I have not touched the suspension yet so its stock. Does anyone run 19x8.5's and if so what offset do you have, and how much trouble was it. Thanks in advance for the help.

19's can fit, but I am not too sure what the exact setup will be. Check with some of the members with 19's, they can give you a better idea. Also, I think 8.5 is wide for the front, but with the right offset...it could work.

PS. Welcome to 202. Look like you're another WA state member.

I'm running 19x8.5 all around with a 35 offset, the rear's have a 20mm hubcentric spacer to make it fit flush w/ the fender.

I have Eibach Pro-kit springs w/ #3 pad in the front and #4 in the rear. Rubbing on occasion with a full car. But I have had my fenders rolled/shaved/banged out multiple times to get me to a point where there's no rubbing.

Depending on what size tire you run, you might/will probably rub. Keep in mind that different brand tires have different widenesses, even if they are listed at the same size. For example, I've found that Nitto NT555's have a nice, curved sidewall that's good for minimizing rubbing. On the other hand, BFGoodrich KDW's have a square sidewall that increase the wideness of the tire, but will most likely induce rubbing.

Hope this helps some - be prepared to roll your fenders if you plan on dropping your car on some 19's. :D
