i need help. i believe that it's my vacuum pump that's out but i'm not sure. my doors just stopped working. like if i press unlock from the dash the doors don't lock or unlock. it only works manually when i put in the key. so when i went to fill up gas the door won't open. i had to go through the trunk and rip out the side panel to get to the lock from the inside. how much is it to replace that pump?

theyre about $200 on ebay for used ones. i think its over $600 for a whole new unit from the dealership.

you also might wanna check all your fuses first.

i second that....check the fuses..might just be a loose fuse...happened to my friends 190E....

hey same thing happen to me so i went to the junkyard and got a used on for $85.00 and installed it myself it's pretty easy

do u have an aftermarket alarm?? My alarm somehow overriden that button when it set on automatic lock. I had bestbuy disable the automatic lock and its working now.

i have an aftermarket alarm but i've had it for about 3 years now. i checked all the fuses. i took out the pump. and its making a rattling noise inside like some pieces are loose or something. i think i just need a new one.

thanks so much. now when i took out the pump i forgot to mark which tube goes where. can someone take a picture for me to see which side the yellow tube goes to and which one the white goes to? thanks again. i have 96 c280.
