so im looking to get a magnaflow exhaust for my C230 but i wasnt sure where to find one. would autozone/advance auto parts carry these? i only want the tail pipe, is it just the cat back that most of you guys get?

also, if there is a better exhaust that you feel is out there feel free to post about it. thanks

***and sorry im such a noob when it comes to performance.

Summit racing sells it for 108 + 12 shipping so 120$ is the correct pricing. I got mine from a local muffler shop and i told them i can get it online for 120$ so he gave it to me for that price + installation.

IMO, the magnaflow sounds great OUTSIDE THE CAR! Inside, for me, was a nightmare. Too much drone in low range RPM. Good Luck.

yes thats b/c you did not set it up properly. If you get magnaflow catback you MUST get magnaflow resonator, but most people only want to do muffler to save time. If you use the 22" resnator it sounds like heaven on earth :) . I always use magnaflow resonator & muffler combo on my track cars... its amazing.

Is this in addition to the stock resonator or is it a replacement. I've been wanting to put a second resonator on my Magnaflow just because of the low rpm drone.

the stock resonator is not enough for magnaflow. Each muffler must be matched to an appropriate size resonator. They are two peice on one system so they must work together, if you replace one but not the other, the desired effects will not be acheived. If you get a 22" magnaflow 2.5" piping 4" body resonator it will eliminate the majority of that low rpm drone that you are experiencing now. Hope that helps.

14815 MagnaFlow (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MPE%2D14815&N=700+400636+4294923429+4294922711+4294922710+4294 891681+115&autoview=sku)

14815 is the most popular exhaust along with 14816.

No it won't be too loud. It will cut down all of the low end frequencies and clean up (smoothen) out the top end frequencies. basically think of it this way... Muffler controls volume, resonator controls quality of sound. Majority of the unwanted sound from magnaflows is from low end resonance but at high end they aren't that loud, so you need a long resonator to tune those frequencies out and the 22" badboy is the most resonance muffling you could ever have so it will do the job, those tiny ebay resonators don't do crap you need serious size & volume to tune it properly.

Omey, what exhaust setup would you reccommend and from what website?

i like 14816 + 22" long resonator ( i think its 10436) and all mandrel bent 2.5" piping. For Y-pipe, flowmaster is smoothest & most free flowing but you could use magnaflow if you wanted a cheap alternative. you can also get ceramic or metal core race cat off ebay for fairly cheap. hope that helps.
