I am currently running:
EIBACH pro kit (highest shims)
Bilstien sport shocks.

I have been riding on these springs for ~60,000km and have found them to sag alot over the years. I used to be running #1 pads all around with no problem and now my car is sitting as low with the higher shims 4 years later.

I just ordered some new H&R's to replace the EIBACHS. Trying to decide whether to put #1 pads in all around. I heard H&R's drop slightly lower but are a better spring (wont sag after settle period). I know Eibachs are supposed to have life warranty but i am not sure why the car has settled lower over time. I want no rubbage. Still like the low look. What size shim do you think I would be safe with?

Thanks

Tire set up:
Carlsson 18"
265/35/18 rear
225/40/18 front

i m currently using h&r springs with no issue...i did used # one pads in front since the front looked slightly higher then the rear although i left the rear pads alone ( not sure what size they are, it might be #4) everthing looks great. and mine is a 99 like yours

i'm running H&R cup kit. I've got #5's up front and #4's in the rear It's pretty damn low but I have noticed it doesn't settle in too much. As another member put it... "Cup Kit is da Bomb!!"

remember, if it were me, I would not use stock shocks w/ after market springs
