took off ignition surrounding when removed dash. (fix vacuum leak) now cant put it back. it wont go in, anybody know how , is there some special way of putting them back in?

Are you aligning the outside groove of the ignition ring to the upper slot of the hole?

from the two pictures it doesnt look like its being aligned lol

Im pretty sure you have to remove the tumbler form the ignition and put the tumber and that cover in at the same time. when you have the tumber removed and in a certian position when inserting it, it will just fall into place.

in order to remove the tumbler you need to have the key in position 1... or 2... cant remember off hand. and you will need to slide a thin metal rod (shaped like a u)into the tumbler to release it. there are what look like 2 small holes in the tumber.
you can kinda see one of them in the second pic you posted D-money, on the left hand side of the tumbler.

hey thanks slammed c, i did what you suggested and yep, went right in. removed the tumbler and put em in at the same time.
