So my brakes are grinding pretty bad and i noticed the rotors are showing recent wear so im getting new brakes and rotors in the front tomorrow morning. the question is whether or not i should get drilled or regular rotors? I dont truely care about stopping any quicker than i already can so i definately dont want slotted rotors. I just thought drilled rotors would give the car more of a road demon "has everything a sports car should" look. I'd also like to know whether or not the drilled wear brakes down faster or cause more brake dust

go with either OEM rotors or Brembo, I would personally never trust any other rotor brand.

OEM pads SUCK (mine ALWAYS squeel from day one)
OEM pads produce unreal amounts of dust (clean my wheels every 2 days )

so I think the best solution is Brembo rotors (solid not drilled) and PBR pads as I hear they dont produce as much dust/squeel.

I just spent $150 for brakes 2 weeks ago, bought all OEM stuff from the dealer, and im NEVER making that move agian, looking into other brake setups such as C32 ///AMG

Ate Powerslots Cryo Treaded should be the best rotor for stock calipers we can get. And Im saying should because I never had the chance to try it but read a few articles and they seem to rock! Just to let you know, Ate brakes are as good as Brembo... In many head to head comparissons with Brembo, Ate came first. Also, Brembo is an Italian brand, and in Europe at least there are many cases of fake Brembo rotors, STRAIGHT IMPORTED FROM ITALY, in Brembo boxes and all that! I have no idea whats going on in the US offcourse, just letting you know of the potential risks.

if your thinking about just replacing your rotors and going with cross drilled i replaced my with zimmerman cross drilled and got them threw autopartswarehouse i got mine in march so the price proubly went up since its summer. i used factory pads and have no issues of squeeking but dust can be a issue but since i like a clean car it doesn't bother me to clean the wheels. i believe i paid about 150 for the set and shipping was free.....

i got solid brembo's and a full ceramic pad....all from tire rack...and i can stop on a dime...pads were like 75 a set, but worth it...NO BRAKE DUST AT ALL!
