Okay.. Ive been kinda fed up with my stock hood star for some time now. and everything I find is either fake Brabus, AMG, or some piece of crap flat badge kit form ebay.
Ive wanted an OEM one for some time, even attempted to make my own adapter to mount a flat hood badge from a w215 (didnt turn out though).
I had heard that an R129 badge kit would work, couldnt find any info about it though. so I waited and waited.. and finally I found something OEM.
This bagde kit is from a W204.. yes the new 2008 C-class. and believe it or not it wasnt that expensive either.
So here it goes..

After:

Its not an absolutly perfect fit.. but its damn near close. the only spot that slightly off (doesnt follow the contour of the hood perfectly is where the front of the flat badge is where is curves towards the grille opening) but if you dont look really closely at it, you wont even see it at all.
The Install:
The kit includes a flat badge and a base.

A back view of the base.. see the spring loaded locking tabs that hold the base in place of the stock hood star.
