View Full Version : replacing the trunk door or w\e u call it

I dont know how many of you guys noticed that older 202s dont have that lip on the trunk door


I have a 1994 and my sister\brother have 98\99 and their trunk doors are different, I would like to update mine, anyone done this before?

is it possible\hard?

Shouldn't be hard if you can get the updated trunk. I replaced mine with an updated euro trunk and it fits without any problems.

Updated euro and US has a slight lip at the bottom.

trunk door for a 1998 c class is $430 at
mercedes shop over here and they are not sure if it would fit on a 1994

sorry I forgot to ask him for the part number

yea, its full wald. umm, I never lived in them, but might have been in the area.

the euro trnk lid part numbers are as follows:
*Trunk lid (model updated)- 202 750 07 75
*Euro trunk lid handle (part wher lights fit into for license plate)- 202 758 01 02
*Euro trunk lid star- 202 758 02 58
*Rubber grommets for trunk star- 163 997 06 81 x3.

can someone confirm these numbers? Does model updated trunk lid fit preupdate?
