I've got the carbon fiber trim that come with the sport models in my 99 C280, however I like the wood grain look better and was wondering if anyone would be interested in swapping?

EDIT: forgot to say I have the 4 switch holes on the center trim piece (no heated seats).

I will but you have to get a bow piece and pay for shipping. The wood is much more expensive than the cf.

I only have the 4 slots on my main console trim though instead of 6 like you do though... I'm assuming that would be a problem for you?

no...these are from a C43, and I have a C230...not a problem.

Is that wood real or faux?

Thats good to know...This fake carbon fiber in my car is getting kind of annoying. I was thinking of doing the same.

Bump, I am still interested in doing this.

I've got mint condition trim (non-heated seats though) so only 4 slots for buttons on the center console piece.

i've never seen it in person that i remember (the carbon stuff)

I think it looks alright, especially in a car with a grey interior.

This is what it looks like in my car

Here is a link to a C280 sport with the two-tone interior (similar to your C43) to show what the carbon fiber looks like - kind of a bad example because the C280 doesn't look very clean.

And here is another C280 sport with a black interior

see i think it would look better with my car than the wood

i'd do it but i can't give you my dash piece- mines all cut up and modified and has the wrong number of openings

would you call it even then? since the wood is more expensive?

plus how hard is it to remove front bow? any instructions for removing all that stuff available?

Your dash piece as in, main center piece?

There are some instructions on here as to how to remove the bow - to remove the door pieces you have to remove the door panels.

Let me see if I can find a center piece... if I can find one I'm down to do this deal.

All of my CF trim for all your wood trim minus your center console (A/C, radio, etc) piece?

Do you have any pics of your trim?

you could likely sell yours and make up a lot of that etc.-- i bet they'd sell just the piece you need too.

i'll get pics of mine- the shift surround isn't perfect, the rest is absolutely perfect. My entire car is in incredible shape etc.. I doubt you or anyone would notice what i'm talking about as imperfections on the one piece (it's just got some swirls in the clear)

i'm assuming your stuff is perfect too eh?

Drew I tried PMing you last night but your inbox is full...

EDIT: I now have all of the trim out of the car. Just have to box it up and ship it.

Please email me at flewis2@gmail.com, or send me your email address so I can send you some tips on getting the stuff out, or you can always PM me on here.

Thanks.
