Don't have a C36, but I can say that my C230K does not have the annoying ticking noise, even when cold. I made a video of it and will upload soon. What oil do you use?

At the momnet Castrol Edge 10w60 to try and stop noise, it didnt, so will go back to Mobil 1 0w40

That's odd, when I switched to )w40, the ticking stopped. I did run seafoam in the crank before, so that may have done it as well.

Like said thats how you know its a C36 but if you dont like what it sounds like sitting then hurry up and floor it!
