DVD player

So if I put an in-dash DVD player in my car can i still use the 6 disc changer? Should I look for a certain plug hole in the back of the player? Also, do I need those weird keys to get my OEM head unit out?


I have a slightly older Eclipse DVD player that I want to swap from my mom's Jetta into mine. Thanks

no you cannot use your cd changer with the dvd player. i had a dvd player and searched for connectors or anything that would connect the changer to the dvd. But there isnt anything like that

i actually used a thin metal nail file with the angled end to pull out my factory CD and HVAC.

i recall reading some time back a company made a interface allowing you to hook up a aftermarket deck to a oem mercedes changer...it allow you to use the fiber optics and everything but you are better off buying a aftermarket changer( thats if you can find any) since there pretty much gone due to ipod and mp3 players.

try an ipod, they work wonders..
