MB-TEX, it is vinyl. look at your door panels, is the "leather" on the doors smooth, or is it pleated? if its pleated you have leather, if not it is MB tex

anf6789, what do you mean by pleated? the "leather" on the side of the door has small holes in it and it isnt smooth, if it aint leather its got to be one of the most realistic looking fake leathers ive seen lol

im guessing its the mb-tex, which probably is one of the most covincing fake leathers ever. what i ment by pleated was, the leather appointed cars have a wavy leather pattern on the doors, the mb-tex doors are flat and preforated

My '72 280SEL 4.5 has it, if that is an indicator. as did my '74 280, and '86 190E 2.3. I think it dates back to the '60's.

Mercedes still uses MB-tex to this day.
They started using it in 1958 IIRC.

I just could not see spending $65,000 on a G-Wagon & NOT get real leather......
Fuckin' PETA...blah.
