How to take off front lip??

I have a lip for my preupdated stock bumper. I'm trying to take the lower piece (stock lip) off. I took the mud flap cover off the inside driver side wheel and unscrewed the corner bolt, but cannot seem to pull the lip apart.
Does anyone know how to take this lip off?
I'm thinking, once i take the stock one off, i just put the clips one the new lip and slap it on right?

Hrmm... serious? After taking another long look, it does seem like that is the right idea.
I guess it's just cut the stock lower lip off, then use the clips to fit the new lip on?

Anyone tried this method?
More input would be nice, thanks.

the lip you are referring to is part of the skeleton of the front bumper cover.

are you sure your new lip doesnt just cover the OEM one ??

Yes, it seems as though the lip is part of the bumper skeleton and cannot be taken off. The middle part however can be taken off which is weird. And the lip does not fit over the existing stock lip. The new lip has holes on top which indicates clips and screws which will need to be screwed onto the existing bumper.
Nobody has done this before? hrmmm.... I'll try to get some pictures up later then.

Yes, well it does seem to be as you say. So what can i do then? cut or not cut?

I called a few local shops, and they don't know what they're talking about once I start asking for lip install on mercedes, thus that is why i'm here asking. :) Yet, i don't want to mess up and be back at square one.

Here are the pictures... So please advise. Looks like do have to cut off my stock bottom lip piece because it doesn't come off of the bumper.

Now I was thinking about just buying this OTHER lip from bekkers. But will it fit my preupdated lip??? Mines a 1994 and this lip states for 95-00 w202... HRMMM??? And it looks like it fits over the existing stock lip too... anyone wanna chime in on this too??
