Hey guys, well apparently if i clean my MAF sensor on my 2000 C230K, i will see benefits. My only problem is i dont know where it is or how to clean it. Can you guys help me out and tell me where i can find it and how to clean it? Some pictures would really help... Thanks in advance. :D

since i dont have a c230k i dont know where your maf is, but imo this is the best product (from experience) for my c280

Follow the large black tube located on the right-hand side as it sinks itself into the front of the engine bay. There you will see 3 metal clips, you will figure the rest out since you sound like a DIY guy. I wouldn't recommend cleaning the thing though, cause I heard they are useless after that but if its almost dead, you can give it a try anyway since it is quite expensive.

lol whats DIY guy? I dont know much about the car so if you left some deatails on finding my MAF thinking i would know the rest, please reply with the rest of the info. Well from what i have read here, alot of people have had experience cleaning their MAF and said that it is the source to alot of engine problems (like hard downshifting in low rpms in my case) and if i cleaned it i would see a difference. Thanks

DIY = DO IT YOURSELF. And if I were you I would not mess around with it specially you don't know anything about your car.
I'll just take it to shop that you trust.

haha only use CRC MAF CLEANER NOTHING ELES!!!!!! and be very carefull while doing it before you damange the thing......there about $500 bucks for a OEM one. You'll see a few gains nothing much. You might want to run a full cleaning service

How d i use that cleaning fluid that you suggested on that link? Is it an additive that i pour into my gas tank?
