One of my two folding rear seat release levers no longer works. It seems the cable is broken or something.

Does anyone have any "how to" advice?

Mine has the passenger or right side doing the same thing, haven't gotten around to fixing it yet as it was way down on the priority list, maybe today or this week

Well I found my problem and a good thing that one of my seats would unlatch or I'd have been in the trunk. What happened was the plastic end to the cable release broke( see pic )

This part is a bit longer on the right to lock the cable end into and slide the release, it's located on the side of the latch in the trunk at the back seats. It's probably a 99 cent item but without the time I decided to make one, so I took 3/8 aluminum dowel and drilled 2, 3/16 inch holes in it about an 8th inch apart. The hole at the back I elongated to fit the cable end. Then I took a dremel and slotted the piece to the back to accept the cable.

Here's the installed piece that took about twenty minutes to make and works great, even better than the plastic piece it won't break.

I don't know if this is what broke on yours but it is likely the part.
