Awesome! I love Work wheels, and am glad to see more people using them. Here's the Work VS-SS I have on my Toyota:

For those that aren't familiar, Work Wheels employs the same if not better forging techniques used by the "baller" brands like HRE, DP Engineering, iForged, etc, but in my opinion have better design options.

sick supra !

yeah, i didn't really want to get the baller brands like HRE, iForged etc..

that's why i got something at least "genuine" and with the "baller" status, but not sooo expensive. lol

i cant wait!

Do you have to custom order those from Work wheels? I've always wanted some works but I never find any with benz lug patterns. Seems like they're made for more japanese cars. I bet they're crazy expensive to make.

well, their bolt pattern was 5x112, which is the size for the 202 (luckily..)

i don't know how hard it is to get Work wheels in north america,
but it was pretty easy for me in hongkong.

these wheel are around 70000yen/wheel which is around 635usd/wheel

but, i got it for a muuucchhhh better price with my friends connections.

I have a Work Wheels authorized dealer here in Socal. There are a few product lines that are specifically made available in the 5x112 Mercedes lug pattern/center bore, but really you can custom order any Work wheel with any lug pattern (my friend got 19" Work Equips in 5x130 for his Porsche 996 Turbo) and any pad-offset combination. The trouble is that if you custom order, you will have to pay full price for them, and they are every bit as expensive as the other forged brands (~$1k per wheel for most 3-piece 18"). But honestly even at that price, I'd still rather have Works than the others.

Let me know if you'd like to enquire about a set, I can ask my guy.

holy sh*t 1k per wheel? i thought lowenharts were expensive. you say the wheels are 3 piece? i dont see any bolts on the ones he is getting.. i thought most 3 piece designs had some type of bolts patterns on the wheels to keep then together?

Well, pretty much all of the baller brands like HRE, DP Engineering, iForged, Asanti, and others are WAY overpriced. They are largely Chinese in production (both materials and labor), and in general aren't a good value.

At least when you buy a Volk Racing or Work wheel, you are paying for craftsmanship and materials. If you pay $3800-4000 for 3-piece Work wheels like VS-XX, VS-SS, Equip, etc you are getting a strong forged wheel that doesn't bend easily as a result of potholes, etc, and at the same time are usually lighter weight than factory wheels of similar size. Both Volk and Work make wheels that are used in the motorsport environment, which cannot be said for the baller brands which are essentially just street jewelry.

You are correct that the ones he ordered are not 3-piece. They are 2-piece welded.

very nice wheel.. :D
i thought this wheel don't have the 5x112 pcd
i was looking at the website catalog & it written only for 5x114
coz i am also ordering the same wheel, and the dealer said it doesn't have merc PCD.
so i have to custom ordered it + the rear custom offset = 2 months wait for the wheel :(
btw you got cheap man, it's a bargain. i got mine quite expensive.
