LED Tails Installed [Archive]

Got the tails in and installed today... here are some pics of the process...

Pretty easy job, took me about an hour... I found it made things MUCH easier to take all of the carpet out of the trunk.

Overall I'm pleased with them so far... waiting for it to get dark and for my girlfriend to come over so I can see the brake lights lit up.

Do you guys think I should nightshade them?

Yeah I just went out there to grab something that I left in the garage, and they look pretty Toyota Camry-ish. Time to get some nightshades!

Deff look updated, but not necessarily ina good way. Smoke emm a bit and it'll be nice.

Yeah, I'm not gonna smoke them real dark... probably something similar to stock, maybe a tad darker.

i agree with the camry look! why didnt you buy the smoked LED in the first place??? im thinking of getting that one for my white c230 ...dantedawg.multiply.com

* it will look better if you didnt have tint on. but since you have tint, smoke it all up bud.

These tails have the LEDs in the top and bottom... to get the tails that are tinted with the LED's in top and bottom, it would have been around $300 shipped. These were $150 shipped, plus I can shade them how I want them.

sounds good. when you do shade them please post pix again. i only have the led reverse bulb and stock tail lights. not planning to change soon but my will put HID's on headlights. regarding your tails...how do you shade them? what do you use?

I am going to use VHT nightshades... I'm hoping to find it somewhere locally but if I can't I am going to have to buy it online somewhere. It's pretty much like a spray tint.

I will be sure to post pix when I get them smoked.

i think the clear on those look better then making then darker. since your car is white i think its a better match up.

I have decided to leave them for a little bit, the more I look at them the better they look on the white car... we'll see.
