My side view mirror cover fell off awhile ago and i could stick it back on, but now it jsut wont stay. Whats the trick to getting this to stay on. I tried to figure it out from my other cover, but it was on there tight and i didn't want to break it.

Try pushing it in. It look's like the cover is just coming off.

Are you sure it isn't as simple as just pushing the cover back into place, swinging the mirror back to reveal the innards from the front side and then locking the retaining/C-clip? From the picuture, it doesn't look like the mounting broke, but I could be wrong. The popped C clip is pretty common if it is just the outer shell that has worked loose.

Yeah after reeviewing the thread its not that serious the unit is stuck o nthere great its jsut the housing thats flopping around.
ive tried numerous times to stick it on and different ways and it jsut doesnt work.
It worked for awhile once but then pop it came off again, used to fall off everytime someone closed the door, and i couldn't stand it so i jsut stopped fixing it. How can I tell if the C- clip is still in tact?

The recommendation to look at the one that is not broken first is a good idea. Also do some searches on those member IDs that are noted in the text of one of the replies.
