never seen it before, looks wierd. the cf just looks like a cover for the cone filter, not worth $800. doesn't even look like it goes down to the bumper either

Even better.....look at the intake system on their site for the W211 E55.

$3,775.00

I think i would rather drive around with no air filter than spend that kinda money on a intake system!!!!!!!!!!! - HAHA

Reckon they were tripping on acid when they got the pricelist together...it would probably cost the same to get McClaren to custom build you an intake!!!

LMFAO!! I totally agree on that ridiculous price! BTW, it does NOT go into the bumper its just basically an oem airbox with CF overlay over it...lol

ya its basically a sick joke, not even a true CAI and theres no ram air effect either. complete waste of money.

If you guys didn't want to make a "Custom intake"

there is another from from K&N does.
Don't think much people in this forum knows about it nor other W202 people does.

I just ordered one myself.

I've known about this intake for a while as well, however i wasn't sure if it was any good?

I'm a little hesitiant to use an oil-charged filter cuz ive been told it fux with our MAF. If anyone can confirm that this filter is a dry(paper)filter or if it is any good, i'd def buy it, then extend pipe so it goes to bumper.

A guy with a c36 at one of the meets I was at had the same intake on his car. He said it didn't do anything for performance, maybe an extra 2-3 hp and make the car a little noisier. Looks cool under the hood though

honestly you could do a custom intake that would add twice the HP for under $150 and would still look good. Theres really no purpose in getting that intake, from day one Gruppe M has always made fancy products that don't do much and charge a boatload for it. I guess now-a-days thats a viable business model for MB tuners lol.

Cold-air, something that will give me more power. I think i'm gonna order the K&N intake and extrend pipe to my bumper, i'll need an aem water bypass if i go that rute
