Air Con Not working?!

Hey Guys,


The air con in my car stopped working all of a sudden. Actually, when I turn the switch NOTHING works, not even the fan.

I was told it was the switch that was not working.

How do I check this and what can I do to fix this problem??

cheak your relays and fuse's 1st....

check the vacuum check valve also... its on the top left corner of the engine bay (when you are facing the car).

Its under a plastic cover and should have several little hoses attached to it from both sides.

Does your vehicle have the climate control system or does it have the manual system. On some of the older vehicles the climate control system in the dash has been known to die.

Apparently it was the blower unit (Under the passenger footwell) that was the problem.

The mechie sorted it out for $40.

Although, I seem to have another small issue of a whiny noise....REALLY HIGH Pitched and REALLY FCUKING annoying. Comes and goes at times. Also stops when you play with the EC button.

Anyone experience this??
