my brothers is a 99 and mine is a 94, his engine temp rarely goes over 80, mine goes close to 100 even after replacing the head gasket, is this normal or could it be something else?

Im not sure what kind of oil I put in last time, I heard the wrong oil makes engines heat up

sorry posted in wrong section

if you want it to run cooler put a lower temp thermastat or check to see it the one you have is sticking , a sticking thermastat can run the engine alot hotter.....
