Hey guys,

Im stuck with the canadian/european CLASSIC edition 202s which are the basic models. Im looking to jazz it up like the US versions and C43 stock wood...on the doors and the dash piece. Right now all I have is the wood in the center part of the car.

I know it can be an expensive mod but where can this found be found besides a junk yard and *sometimes* ebay?

Car dismantlers and ebay are your cheaper options as if you were to buy this item brand new it would cost you somewhere in the region of 300 dollars per section of trim.

There are specialist dismantlers who will sell certain sections of trim specific to pre or post facelift 202s.

If you want zebrano, maple, burl, carbon etc, you need to be specific as to what you want and need. It is best to get all the trim pieces from the same vehicle as there are different types of wood trim and have different shading and grains.

Going along with what the previous poster said, even withing the same wood type there can be quite a bit of variance from car to car. Color/darkness of the wood is an example. I know my wood is relatively much darker than many of the 98 w202s I have seen. Therefore, it would be best to get the wood from one car if possible. Also, don't forget about the difference in cutouts for optional accessories.

Thanks so much. Looks like a not so easy mod but we'll spend the winter looking.

It is an easy mod, they come up on ebay all the time. I got my set from ebay. My car had the boring black plastic and I've replaced it with zebrano wood as mine is a pre-facelift car with the square switches. :D

dude the easiest solution is to this..........take it to a cabinetry shop.......let them do a Formica overlay to whatever you want.....zebrano wood looks very cheap to me, don't know why. i would loveeeeeeeeeee to see a wood grain like how it is on the back of a blackwood. burlwood is awsome

LOL no not going to print any wood and stick it on.

My biggest issue would be the optional buttons on the top center panel.
