I think inside the door well. There is a hard plastic trim piece on most Mercedes that scratches the hell out of the tint.

Mine are totally scratched up with heavy lines running down the tint on my door windows. I need to retint em and get that felt installed...

im assuming it requires removal of the door panals. :(

alright, well I guess ill get it done next couple days when I re upholster the doors.

i just got my windows tinted 20% and it really looks good. i did ask the tinter to replace my felt and he did it no problem, Tinter101 (http://club202.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=13971&highlight=tint) on here sells the felt for $10 if u need. dont tint ur windows unless u replace the felt cuz it will just get scratched

yes, you would need to take the door panel off, but its pretty easy to DIY

The kit is very much needed to prevent scratching. My car was tinted when I bought it and was all messed up. When I re-tinted
and added the felt strips, no more issues. The kit has instructions
for applying the felt but not for removal of door panels. A quality tint shop should be aware of the felt issue as it's a problem for several other makes and models as well.

I tinted the car myself.

Ive never done tints before, but it turned out okay for a first try.

i got my stuff from tinter101. Good stuff.

Only thing i need to figure out is how to relieve pressure on the glass, my windows roll up slower now and i can here them working real hard, and if i take the door card off they are fine....
I already tried grinding down the rubber strip where the felt goes, no luck.
