Was surfin the web and found this...
it's a fujita5 air intake for the 1998-2003 ML350.
This engine looks very similar to my M112 V6 in my c280
Basically my question is will this intake fit my car?

Theres probably a reason why the ML350 looks like an M112...
Because it is, lol, its a 3.7l version of the M112, so I dont see why there would be any issues.
Hmm, could be a fairly low cost swap into a C280 for a bit more go???

why in the world would you want that ?!?!
1. Auto-zone has stuff to make your own intake like that
2. having the filter close to the exhuast manifold like that will get you HOT AIR INTAKE (dont expect any performance out of that)

I would built a heat shield for it though, and not a shitty one. i would encase a nice pocket in the bay for fresh air.
in regards to autozone, im not into PVC pipe in my engine bay

The C280 air intake can pretty easily be transformed into a much better system. You can cut a nice hole in the bottom of the stock airbox and then run a 3-inch flexible tube, like the brake duct piping that you can find at Coleman racing.
http://www.colemanracing.com/catalog/index.php
Go to the DUCTING section and buy the brake duct and brake duct tubing. Then go to work.
This company has lots of great stuff which is completly race ready, but you do need a good sence of what you are doing to make the parts and products work well together.
You can also fit a 3" brake duct into the opening on the right side of the car. If you seal it up tight and provide a good fitting entrance to the airbox you will create a good ram air system.
You will be very pleased at the gain in throttle response and Hp.
You can also remove all the MAF airflow screens and that will also help increase the Hp.

So just cut 3"x3" hole into bottom of airbox and route to right side of car? I presume there will be water filtration issues? Or maybe not because stock airbox is utilized..
(cut directly in center? conect hose to anything in the airbox? Can a larger diameter be used for more gains?)
THx
ps is there a pic of this
