Cant tell my speed!

Hey guys last nite I installed a cd-player in my 1994 c280 and on the way to work this morning I noticed my speedo wasn't moving! Temp, fuel, time,ks, and trip meter were all working. What would the reason for this be? Ive checked fuses and they seem fine.

Just a guess on my part, but there is a speed indicator wire that goes to the stereo. This allows the stereo to increase volume to make up for road noise. My guess it that the somehow that line if getting shorted out.

Thanks mate, You were near bang on! I pulled my stereo out and played around with the wires, for sum reason I attached the speed indicator wire to the ground along with my ground wire. I thought that the green/white wire was my factory bose amp ground wire :p

Anyway... Disconected that and now I can see how fast im going!
