Hey guys. Is this pulley good for my C23k? I just got my custom Magnaflow exhaust on, so i figure if i can get a custom CAI, pulley, ECU chip and some liter wheels, i should be doing alright. Thanks

this is the best pulley i've seen other than the kleeman (which unfortunately is no longer in production) and i've actually used this one before my car accident.

however, all crank pulley kits will require a kit to relocate your MAS to a horizontal position, colder temp spark plugs, and a higher rated fuel preassure regulator to compensate properly for the added boost. this affects all kompressors except for the '00 models which are much more updated.

oh wow, asp listened to me, and they even include the parts you'll need for the swap as a complete kit. they used to charge 600 core, but it looks like they've dropped it to $1200 total, and you'll get a $300 core refund once you send them your stock pulley back.

It says 30hp to the wheels but that can't be true. Can it? Wish I could add it to my 280.

lol yea sorry about that, i forgot the link :stupid: Proven, so your saying that this ASP pulley is $1200 but i get $300 back? And it also includes all the needed parts to relocate my MAF? Thanks

that is correct. the reason the pulley costs so much, its about $600 for them to rework a stock puelly provided they have a core, and about another $300 for the other parts. there was a guy named linh from MBWorld that helped design this pulley based off the kleeman one, and it's a little more mild in compairison as it'll give you between 8.5-9.5lbs of boost whereas the kleeman was good for 11lbs.

i think 30hp to the wheels is a little over rated, but it really all depends on the type of dyno you use, like a dynojet etc for the results. in real world terms, you'll get every bit of 20hp to the wheels, and there won't be any question about it. the power gains comes from the raise on boost from 5.0-5.5lbs stock, which means more air, more fuel, more power. you'll lose some MPG, but that's the tradeoff with uppin the ponies.

the 2000 model C230Ks dont need the other goodies, and its probably cheaper on this site (00-02 version, as well as SLK).

breakdown:

1200 total = 600 for the pulley, 300 for the kit that goes with it, 300 core charge which is refunded after you install the pulley you buy from them, and send back your stock one.

hope that helps. this is the best bang for the buck you can get for the M111K, so the next step after this would be full exhaust, and schrick cams, assuming you've already gotten your brakes upgraded and suspension tuned properly. power does nothing without control ;)

discontinued, and completely impossible the find. the real kleeman pulley kit also replaced the SC pulley, and retailed around $1800.

if you could increase the size of the stock pulley diameter, that is essentially what ASP does. kleeman had a smaller SC pulley with a bigger light weight main crank pulley to further increase boost. it's easier to find bigger belts than it is smaller.

i wonder how they made it bigger......i always thought if you make the pulley smaller it would make it spin faster
