hey you need to clean you box out...if your serious about this CAI he will need my car to duplicate it. since its winter almost i usually don't drive the car. but here is his info and maybe we can set something up when its a nice day and can take him my car. as for that relocation i haven't done that to my car. although it improves performance i don't like the way the MAF looks . i m going to get the pipe replaced to match the other side but going to leave mine where it is . since your is a 2000 i was told that a relocation isn't required.......(sales@rx-motorsports.com) ....that is his email address and his name is chris . since this is his slow time of year let me know when you email him so i can call him to check his emails .. Sorry about that Logic. Yes i am serious about the CAI but you said that he needs your car to do mine.. but you live in Colorado, and i live in Florida... So how does that work?

what i mean is he needs my car to duplicate the intake. since you live in florida you just cant come here and get it done . so ill will take my car to him so he can make another one from the one he made me. then he can ship it to you and you can install it. he will more in likely make a jig so i don't have to do this again. make sure and tell him exactly what you want him to do and the parts needed. mine had a k&n filter , aem bypass valve, clamps, silicon elbow, the stainless steal tube and 2 45 elbows, and a stainless steel piece to make the flange . he also put a small piece of a silcon tube right where the stainless goes threw the bumper so it wouldn't rattle. any questions let me know. if you clean your mail out i can give you my number there laters DES

you box is full again so i m replying here..... the only thing i would do different is have the stainless tubing ceramic coated. you might be able to find a place that does it. this will help the stainless from absorbing the heat and the air will run colder. i also heard that some heat treated paints might have that but if its done right it will look shiney too. i have a friend that had his cobra mustang tubing done and came out clean. just got to find his number to get a hold of him to find out where it was done.

what do you mean you'll get one? didn't you have one before or you talking about like mine? well as far as dyno i haven't done one but from all the info that i gathered from people like omey if you do exhaust you must do intake and from what i read recent that doing intake, exhaust is one of the better less expensive way to achieve more horse power. since c230k lives in florida like you cru maybe when he gets his you can take a good look at it and see if you decide to get one. i feel by doing what i did achieve better horse power even if it was about 20hp and love the way it sounds.

well i don't think theres less flow between both cai's......yours is just professionally made.....mines is like my 1st time ever using a welder lol. well c230k can do his exhaust, i'll let him use my cai, and we can do 50/50 on a dyno tune if he wants...i know people here that would give him deal

haha he'd going to have to get the bypass, but that still doesn't stop a hydrolock is just less chances it will...thats a reason why im iffy about it.

hey guys. LOL I didn't know I was so popular. Yea but I alreay have a full custom exaust with omeys help. I switched everything out and put a 2.25" magnaflow resegnator and racing cat. And the muffler is 14833 I think.

hey a bypass could have saved you LOL anyways i took every precaution when i had this done . C230 is going to love this CAI and i dont think he is going to be riding in a lake or any thing any time soon. i will soon get the other side done this spring so C230 if you want i can send pictures of it. basically what i m doing is getting matching pipe done to the other side of the car so it will look more uniform. Chris said it shouldn't take long to make and i will see if he will make another one just in case you decide you what one;)

i still have it, theres no use for me to put it on, it makes me waste gas....i'm trying to save money. Trying to make your benz go faster is pointless. All these newer cars have more hp anyway

That is the full setup. The new piping starts from the headers then connects to the racing cat then resegnator then muffler.

well there are some days that are in the 50's but to get with him and getting it done seems impossible sometimes...so i m thinking around april? maybe sooner ..depend on the ground hog see's his shadow LOL ... chris will also be making another one for another guy on here so as far as i know there will be 3 built... be patient its worth the wait. i wanted to get my car dyno'd but didnt get a chance to see what improvements were achieved so if you can get this done before and after i bet alot of guys on here would love the info ...laters DES

ummm try google you never know LOL or maybe a local tuner shop and ask if there is one close to you ... i would love to know what hp i increased with just the intake and exhaust... from what i been told i maybe increased mine by 18 to 21 hp but if you get a dyno then we can say we have proof :cool:

just talked to chris and he was telling me he has been very busy but will be getting with me here pretty quick to get you your intake. i m not sure exactly what you two talked about but when the factory box is replaced there is a small hose that goes from the air box to the side of the engine. i believe its the oil cooler? any ways if you look at the factory air box follow the small hose to the engine which connects to a black piece thats on top... well since thats not part of the intake all you have to do is get a small breather element filter and stick it on the end on that hose. the way i did it was i found a small piece of metal pipe that fit inside the rubber hose and used a hose clamp on one side, the pipe piece stuck out of the rubber hose so that the breather mounted to that so it could mount secure. if you didnt do that the hose would colaspe and not make a good seal understand what i m saying? if not chris does.. so if you want to include the breather with small pipe let chris know and see if he included that in the original price. or have him draw you out a diagram to show how it was done....just saw the video you had on your exhaust and sound very similar to mine. when you was gunning it with the factory box does no justice until you get that intake done. that intake will make the whole car sound so much better:cool:
