I went to the drags yesterday for the time time in over 20 years and had a great time. My high neg. camber set-up for high corner speed does not work too well on the dragstrip. But even without the grip it was fun. My best time and mph: 13.2 sec at 109.5mph with a 60ft time of 2.4 sec.
Lots of room for improvement. Pretty happy with the mph speed.

Congrats Jeff. It must have been tough fighting the urge to do S-turns down the straight away... perhaps weaving in and out of some cones @ the start or finish of the track... :p
Ya, that's a very high trap speed! Great time for the NA car. (btw, in your list of modz in another thread replying to Ashkan, do you have a free-flow exhaust to mimic your old one as well? that wasn't mentioned.)
I'm wondering, did you play with adjustments of the shocks for off the line? I'd always supposed, that a dampening adjustment of:
front: light resistance on rebound, high resistance on compression,
rear: high resistance on rebound, light resistance on compression
would yield the best weight transfer to the rear and leave it there.
I sometimes do a 'slight' version of that, but it doesn't turn well ;) so I go back to higher dampening. Wondering if you went to an extreme version of that, or some other setup.

Then he added all his many many performance modz taken off his C43 after its untimely demise.
Jeff, what kind of fuel? The 91 octane you get there in CA or some high octane juice from there @ the track?

I made the run using the crappy Shell 91 octane sold in Sacramento and at this time I do not have my LSD installed.
I did increase the rebound in the rear shocks and compression too. Left the front shocks alone.
My rear tires just had too much negative camber to hook up at all.
I basically had to just roll off the line and then step on it. That why my 60 ft times are very slow- 2.4 to 2.5 sec.
With a flatter camber in the rear and some sticky R-coumpound tires I could maybe get a 2.0sec 60ft time or better and then drop into the high 12's.
Will go again in a couple of weeks and try again.

Why no 1/4 time? Do they not let amateurs do the 1/4 for safety or something? What kind of car were you matched against for that run? I am guessing you had your NOS going. For your car's sake, I hope you have sold the NOS!
