I just got a set of 20" Axis Ordens that are going on in June, but I'm not sure if its going to work out with my suspension... The wheels are 20x8.5 in the front with a 35 offset and 20x10 in the back with a 45 offset. The car is lowered on Eibach springs with #1 pads all around and I'm planning on using 30 profile tires... Do you guys think I can get by without flaring the fenders?

Thanks,

Mark

sweeet 20" :D nice to see people started fitting the 20 into 202.

the front must use 225/30/20 tyre and some fender rolling and shave
then it should be clear alrite.

But i doubt the rear gonna clear, with 45 offset. i would recommend a spacer 10mm
it will also need some light pull and also heavily roll & shave on the outer (bumper) side. (remember it's not wide body or fender flaring)
and adjustable camber kit to get it more going on the camber :D
Tyre 245/30/20
after u done all that then it should be clear alrite.
:D

with 225/30 toooo much stretch on the rear. with 235, maybe ok, but very stretch also. (remember it's a 30 profile not 35, u get more stretch with 30 profile)

yeah, i know- i'm pretty much saying it's a bad idea

245/30/20 is WAY tall out back

I seriously can barely even fit 255/35/18 with rolled fenders and similar suspension- a whole heck of a lot shorter!

Haha, well if it doesnt work out then I can sell them and make profit... I got the set for $700 and these wheels retail at $400 each for the front, $450 for the rear...

it will work at stock height in the rear- you'll have to decide if you like that.

I'm all the way down to 18s now so that i can have the rear as low as i want it with at least a 255 width.

mine 265/30/19 on 9,5 wheel et (+36) add another 10mm spacer with lots of camber, and fender rolling & shaving on bumper.
running on Eibach sport line spring with NO PADS.
it all fit just fine no rub.
I am now using KW variant 2 coilover with perch removal. (the whole tyre are tuck in) also no Problemo. :D

i am confuse why u can't fit 255/35/18 on ur car.

man I was so up for buying the 21" AMG wheels off of a ML63 ... too bad they are way too wide (unless I had Riqumons car)

The front will be fine, I am running 20x8.5 225/30/20 35 offset eibach springs #1 pads. I'm guessing the rears won't fit?

20's sound cool and all but with all the cutting , pulling etc i think it isn't worth it plus a rubber band tire doesn't sound good. i can imagine the hard ride it will give , rubbing and potential wheel damage that can result from all that... i m a 18 inch kinda guy on this car . it gives a good look with out pulling , cutting and rubbing .

I test fit the wheels today and without a spacer the back ones wont even turn... they press against the body... So I will need at least a 10mm spacer, but I'm worried that if I space it out that far then the quarter will rest on the tire

Here are wheels on the car without tires...

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p295/maantic/IMG_1341.jpg

This is the front wheel (20x8.5) I'm worried about this bolt from the upper control arm, I dont know if the tire will clear it..

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p295/maantic/IMG_1332.jpg

This is the biggest of my problems... The back 20x10 wheel is pressing against the body on the inside of the wheel well... The first image is on the left and the second is on the right side of the wheel. Hopefully a 10mm spacer will fix this but since my car is lowered I don't think the fender in the rear will clear the tire

Yeah I thought so, I guess you could try pumping / rolling the guards but it will still be pretty tight lol. I think expo 5.0 is running 10's on the rear? Don't think they are 20's though.

I found 13mm aluminum spacers on eBay... maybe those + fender flare on the rear will let me fit the wheels

yeah, and i ditched them and decided to go low on 18s...

decided that would look better and i wanted a bit more traction/less weight. Even though those were 275s they won't be as sticky relatively as a nice and sticky 255.35.18

did you test fit the front wheel on the rear? I am pretty tempted to get some 20s just for show and run the 225.25 rubber bands front and rear...

with 13mm it will sure fit on the rear, and get some 235/30 tyre so it stretch out to clear the fender.
But still some fender work (Rolling, shaving & pull) will also needed.

This car use 20" dronnel 19x8,5 (+37) front on 225/30/20 tyre no problem at all. there is still some little gap from the tyre to the top bolts :D

The rear is 9,5 (+37) tho, so not as wide as urs, with just minor fender rolling and shave on the inner side of the bumper,
it all clear just fine on 245/30 tyre.

You guys crack me up!

Save your money on upgrades and treat yourselves to a C36 or C43.

Then you'll find that the resulting huge grin will obviate the need to make a visual statement!

wow... 20's look crazy on a 202!!.. I love the look. nice rim choice.. got some good lip on them too. look hot. you will for sure need a 10mm spacer for the rear.. the 13mm you found may be a lil too wide.. you can have them machined down if needed.. you may need to flare the rear fenders too much to get them to fit with the 13mm.. so a 10mm may be better.
man id love to do 20's.. but Id never be able to drive on them!! roads suck too much to risk a 20" rim with such low profile and narrow tires. kudos to you for doing it.
looks awesome dude.
I still may do some 20's.. but they will be for show only!!
