Hi guys,

For a couple of days I've been hearing a sound coming from somewhere around the throttle actuator. So, I took the throttle body off and found that the sound was from the throttle actuator. It is like a scratching sound, which happens the first couple of minutes when I start the car and then it disappears. Has anyone experienced this?

I'm planning on getting a rebuilt throttle actuator, and wanted to know if anyone replaced theirs and for how much? I found a couple of places that sell rebuilt ones but I wanted to buy from a reliable place.

It was worse before.. I was having rough idle, and then I cleaned it with gumoff and it worked fine (with the cruise control not working).. now i think it's almost time to completely change it

Cru238prod, what was the year and model of the spare from? They changed the part for 1997+ w202s.

This is the part # for the one that I need 0001415725

Please let me know if you have it, and then we can probably negotiate the price.

Anyone ever try bba-reman? I think I'm going to have them rebuild mine

Have a sniff through Ebay. There are quite a few choices and options listed:

That's not going to work on mine :(

having bba rebuild it is my cheapest option.. and they have a lifetime warranty

I am searching for a throttle actuator too. How can I tell if mine has ASR or not?

These guys also come in around 350-400 for rebuilds. I've also read that you can just rebuild the wiring harness for much less:

It's a 1994, and I looked up the part number and found out it does not have ASR.

Thanks anyway.
