Where this leak is coming from / what it is. And what should i try. Would be easier if i had a lift.

from the looks of it, your leaking from the pan gasket.
i would also look at your transmission electrical plug. its located on the passenger side of your transmission toward the front. there should be a heat sheild over it. its an easy removal with a torx bit. and while your there in that area, check out your dipstick tube seal.
if all of that is good, id just recomend doing a trans service where you will replace the trans filter and the pan gasket.

It's hard to say. That fluid could be coming from anywhere. Try to see if you can track down the highest point you can see fluid. Hopefully it's just a Trans-pan seal (appears to be from the last picture) which is a relatively easy fix.

It looks like the fluid is running down and back from that right front location, so I agree with checking the 13-pin plug connector, and it is a common fault. It is not actually the plug that leaks, but an inexpensive part called a number of names. This diagram shows it as #115 and part # 1402700250:

When I replaced mine recently, M-B called it a Spacer with a part number of 2035400253. The WIS calls it a Pilot bushing and Guide bushing.
At http://AutohausAZ.com/ both numbers return their Part Number J2050-277685 AT Plug Adapter.
You'll need a 7mm socket for the bolt in the center of the Spacer.

I also installed a pan magnet 2202710098 when I did my C43.
And the 1402700098 Filter Kit that I purchased from AutohausAZ had the locking tabs to help hold it up in place, unlike some others documented.

Thanks for all the info.

I'm in a 2000 c230K.

Its hard to really see whats going on down there as my car is lowered. So tracking anything is nearly impossible until i buy some ramps. Ill look more into it when the ground drys here. (I'm not driving it.)

awman.......looks like me all over again, how much fluid did you put? Did you also use the correct dipstick? This might just be residual, clean it up....check the fluid.....drive it and check it again to see where its coming from......IF YOU USED AM GASKET.....REPLACE IT WITH A OEM ONE.......

when i did the flush on mines, i looked at alldata.....i think is said 7-8 quarts of trans fulid, but it didn't say anything about draining the torque converter, so i had about 9 - 10 quarts of trans fuild in there altogether. I blew the tail shaft seal
