c250d springs on 220cdi?

hi,
would 250d springs fit on a c220cdi? im trying to buy some springs that lower 60f and 40r but its states for c250d 93-96. would they fit a 98 220cdi?

Physically they would fit.

If there are any difference that would be the "spring rate".

Also I don't have complete knowledge of the production date for c220cdi vs c250cdi.

But essentially, there are 2 different kind physical shape for the coil spring for W202.

In USA

for prod date of 1994- mid 1996 the spring end is tappered therefore it has to use W201 spring pad.

for prod date of mid 1996-1999 the spring end is not tappered and it uses W210 spring pad.


In your case I guess it doesnt matter you could buy the spring regardsless and then see the spring end whether it is tappered or not. If it is tappered then you will have to use W201 spring pad.
