W210? heated seats dont work

i know this isnt a W202, but on my moms 2002 W210 ( e class), you press either of the 2 heated seat buttons and the light up...but dont work or heat up.

i took all the wires and harnesses off of the drivers seat hoping i would just " reseat" them and the connection would work again. but it didnt

so this thing is way over my hear and a pain.
is this a common MB problem?

If the wires are connected, next thing I would check would be the fuses.

Every winter as soon as it gets cold, you see more posts about seats. Sometimes it is an easy fix and other times the heating elements in the seat have broken.

fuses are the first thing i check in an electrical prob lol so its not them

it would be strange if all 4 seat heater pads were to burn out at once on both seats ...

disconect teh connector unter you seat
an messure if there is 12v
second you can mesure the resistant from your seat(heated pads)
could be that seat pads are broke.
but in that case rest must be stil working.
