ok so I put in the new MAF today and it seemed to work ok. Only problem is that I took it off again and put the old one back on. Not the car is a mess and way down on power. Its unbelievably rough and will barely start. Any idea whats up?

I think you need to post more information because your last post is rather confusing and makes it hard for anyone to be able to help you...

>>ok so I put in the new MAF today and it seemed to work ok. <<

Good so far...

>>>Only problem is that I took it off again and put the old one back on. <<

If the new one worked, it would help for us to know was there a need to do this?

>>Not the car is a mess and way down on power. Its unbelievably rough and will barely start.<<

Why don't you just put the new one back on if it worked OK? You already knew there was a problem with the old one, right?

Sorry, but we can't help much with the information you have given us. If the only thing you changed was the MAF, I would take a wild guess and say somehow there is now a vacuum leak somewhere in the system that was created when you were working on the system - but that is only a wild guess.
