Was driving in very cold weather the other day and my '95
C220 suddenly started surging, like the cruise control was
on. Pulled over, put her in neutral and found the engine was
surging on its own between 2-3k rmp. Fiddled with the pedal but
couldn't bring the surging down. Turned the car off and back on a
couple of times and was still surging. Turned it off and back on the
third time and was back to normal. Check engine light never came on. Has been running normal
since but I'm worried this may be the sign of some developing
problem. Anyone know what my have caused this?
