Hi guys,

A friend of mine forwarded me this website.

http://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/welcome.jsp
http://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/aboutsite.jsp

North American car owners can get a free subscription (valid for 365 days) but you will need to input your credit card number and billing address to verify your location. Unfortunately, they charge $12 for the same access period for non-N.A. cars.

Hope this helps. Still trying to decipher how to go about searching the catalog.

This is an interesting note:

"EPCnet does not presently support Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, Java 6, or Windows Vista. Users having any of these systems must either revert to older versions or subscribe to EPCnet at their own risk."

Is the information any different than the free Russian site?

FWIW, I have signed up for this and the data here is more up to data than the Russian site. You have to download some java components (it guides you) but installation of the required plug-in is easy.

Since it is free, I would recommend it. As with all MB applications, it takes a bit of learning. Use your VIN to narrow things down quickly.
