Is the Star Diag the only way to read the SRS code and reset it?

That seems to be what I read through the threads.
The Actron 9180 Scanner I have does not report any codes.
(And the battery trick did not reset the light in my case.)

did you unplug a air bag and start the car? as far as those actrons i thought they were only good for cars 96 and up with a obd2 connector?

Yes strictlyspeakin, that is the only way.. My mechanic erased mine..

94 also has the obd connectors and is compliant.

As far as I know, no. The only thing which comes to mind was a time where I was rooting around under the passenger seat looking for something while the car was running.
Maybe I've got some bad wiring, but I know I didn't unplug anything.

If the seat connection lost its signal, that will fire up the SRS light. There are SRS resetters on eBay. I put up a post about this not too long ago if you want more info.

mine lit up when I removed the steering wheel and airbag to fix my horn
