as stated on forum before i am soon to be installing the w202 H&R cup kit lowering my car 60mm front and 40mm rear.

i understand that i will have negative camber, after surfing through a few pages i found this item on ebay,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180033703407&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008

my question is would this be enough to sort out my negative camber?

full info can be found here at bottom of page:
http://www.performancealloys.com/loweringkits_springs.asp

i will be fitting 18x8.5 wheels all round.

also i will be changing my pads just for the sake of it while the springs are being taken out.

do wider pads reduce road noise? if so is it really noticable?

if they dont i'll keep 3 in front and 1 at the back - would this provide me with an even drop all round?

thanks for answers.

Those H&R Triple C Eccentric Systems are really slick (nice), but you dont have a strut, you have a true shock on your w202 (bolting at top and bottom).

For the rear, check out
http://www.rdmtek.com/Rear_Suspension.html

Usually you can get the front adjusted with the front LCA bolts within reason, but the rear is usually the biggest problem for alignment issues on the MB models.

oh okay :)

cheers.

now for pads question?

my car is going to sit as low it can with the springs anyway i just thought if putting number 4 or 5 pads highers car abit but gives less road noise it might be worth it. even then ive heard it wont effect drop much anyway.

I think the w202 you can put dot 4 pads in the front and dot 3 in the rear. I dont think that MB made dot 5 pads.

I remember that someone was posting with the cup kit, with dot 4 pads in the front and an extra dot 2 pad (cut down) it was still pretty slammed. But this was like 3-4 years ago. Maybe it's worth a try. Good luck in your project!

I dont think that they made dot 5 spring pad shims.

You could look. Shims and pads are the same word pretty much.

This might be a bit late but when i was in school i learned about camber bolts. Thay are bolts that are egg shaped in the middle and all you have to do is turn them untill the camber is correct and then tighten them. Dont know the Manafacture but im sure if you type in camber bolts you will find somthing.

The front lower control arm bolts are straight, but the head has a special "egg-shapped washer" to aid in camber/caster adjustment.

The H&R Triple C Eccentric Systems Bolts, the actual bolts, are eggshaped. See the pictures on the website posted earlier.

But the rear LCA doesnt have an eccentric bolt. The track rod is the only one that does, but that won't help with correcting excessive negative camber.

kmac makes a rear LCA bushing kit that has the eccentric bolt and polyurethane bushings, but many people have complained that they are hard to install, and that they make noise while driving.

Hope that helps.
