alright, now that your in here... this is my friend's highly modded A4 which I recently completely shaved and am in the process of widebodying- SO breathe a huge sigh of relief or, for some, disappointment that i didn't hack up my C43... (JUST YET)

Some pictures-

we are actually much further along on it than those pictures show- i'm just too lazy to take pictures so i'm waiting for him to snap some. At this point we're at the body filler stage front and rear and have his bumpers shimmed to fit correctly front and rear.

it will be running 25mm spacers with those carlsson's and 225s stretched all around

sorry for the ot post, but i wanted to show ya'll why my supercharger project hasn't progressed too much the last few weeks.

i think all that bondo will fall off in a year or so ...

what bondo?

are you suggesting we should have used lead? this is how it's done by anyone who isn't stuck in 1940- no reason for anything falling off.

seriously though- there is no bondo on it any thicker than a skim coat. I've got some experience in doing these type projects, painting and showing them with good results (and getting paid for it).

NICE!!! B5 body Audi is nice.
what did you use for the fender extensions?.. pre formed fender arches? where you get them?

i made them from some boat trailer fenders

they required quite a bit of massaging

i promise when i update pics they will do the project justice

How can you weld with just sunglasses? You're not worried about damaging your eyes? Even though my mask has tinted lenses, it hurts my eyes when I forget to turn on the auto-dimmer. Bodywork looks good!

ah, in that case there- eyes shut! just didn't want slag in the eye anyways.

I would highly recommend never wearing sunglasses while welding and always wearing a mask

i think it would look killer if you guys molded the fenders/wheel arches into the side skirts.

those aren't the side skirts we're using-

thanks though

some more- pics very soon with the stretched tires on the carlsson wheels that i sold him. obviously lots more detail work to finsh as well.

if you pay attention and know your B5 bodywork you'll also notice a ton of other little tings done.
