i was reading modified mag and came up to a artical about a new type of spark plug. this is not a advertisment but a true test done on a 2006 350z. Spark plugs that make more horsepower and torque . to make a long story short is that this plug actually increased +10.4 whp and 7.2 tq . this was done on a dyno and everything. again you think yea right but based on this test that it was done . any one have any experience on this? the thing is that these plugs have a capacitor called a pulse circuit that compresses electrical energy. the capacitor stores incoming electrical energy from the ignition system (rather than wasting it in heat generation the way a standard spark plug does) and releases it in a much larger faster spark, igniting the fuel more quickly and producing a more complete burn. this creates greater cylinder pressure resulting in more torque to crank the shaft. which translates in more horsepower. it also says it improved performance a average of 6% . WOW anyways i m not sure if these would create more horsepower for our cars but it maybe worth looking into. draw backs these cost about 25.00 buck a piece.

as far as the dynos go they did 5 test pryer to installing these plugs and 5 after the plug were installed

ok found a link here , tells a little more about it. it also states that these are not intended for modded after market turbos or superchargers which require a colder spark.

every time some one finds one of these spark plugs the general concenses is that they harm the 202... eg: V-grove unless your motor is maade for it like ALfas T-SPARK.. no doubt they make a difference just like putting champion plugs in a 1.0ltr vs OEM but you hear that car in a month and it will sound hurt but will perform notably better
does sound tasty though wonder if it would be good for my CDI .. which could never sound hurt :) as it already sounds like three tracktors being nos'ed hehe

i just came across the Pulstar spark plugs doing a search online....im needing to upgrade my wires and plugs, so im looking for the best performing ones.reading about the pulstars, they sound pretty impressive

sparkplugs.com (http://www.sparkplugs.com/sparkplug411.asp?kw=SRT%2D4+Dyno+Results&mfid=0)

has anyone had any experience with them??

im thinking of getting them along with a set of 8.5mm magnecor wires.that seems to be the ultimate setup, however, its a bit pricey....im needing 16 spark plugs for my C43, so im looking at about $400 just for the plugs, plus an additional $180 or so for the wires.....
but with Pulstars averaging about 5-10hp increase, and expected torque to increase by 4 to 12%, PLUS between 4 to 7% improvement in fuel economy, i think they pay for themselves within the 4 year/50,000 miles theyre rated for

whats ya'lls input??is there anything better out there, or should i go ahead with the purchase?

lol.....i ordered the magnecor wires today, but holding off on the spark plugs for a bit more research and input

if anyones interested in a set of magnecors, theyve got them on sale on alamomotorsports.com for $169 w/ free shipping. An outrageous awesome deal, cause they retail for $250 plus shipping directly from magnecor

NGK Iridium FTW

NGK Iridium FTW

Iridiums do not in fact perform better than copper plugs. Most believe that they do because of the high price tag compared to a copper plug. Copper simply conducts electricity better than Iridium or Platinum, downside is Copper plugs don't last near as long. So the upside of Iridium plugs is not having to change them for another 100k miles, versus 30k miles on a copper plug.

Someone should try the Pulstar plugs, nobody will ever know if they work or not if nobody tries!
I would, but I know the C36 is a little touchy with specific spark plugs, so I would hate to waste $150 on plugs I can use or return haha.

That's an OUCH!!!! My E55 also need 16 spark plugs and I don't wanna waste my money on something is not proven. I'll stick to stock spark plugs.

Stick with what the engineers designed it for.
