I have been contemplating cams for some time now. I have a 1999 C230 Kompressor with a few mods,
I have been looking into dbilas dynamic cams, the down side is they dont come with any new valve springs. uses stock.
they arent cheap though!! about $720 Euros for a set of cams (intake and exhaust) they claim 12-14hp increase. has anyone on here put a set of performace cams into their C? noticeable difference.. enough to make it worth the price?
they arent cheap at all.. so its one of those things I have to ask myself.. is it worth it?!! im looking at about $1200 canadian for a set of cams.

any other manufacturers that can be recommended??

I had schrick cams in my 230 Kompressor, and the ASP pulley kit (your kleeman is quite a bit more stout).

I noticed a full 20hp gain installing the cams after i already had the pulley kit. also stock valve springs, but the valvetrain is pretty sturdy given the rev limit of the M111K

edit: they were around $2,000 and took about 17 hours to do the swap without pulling the engine. i definately recommend pulling it if you have the equipment lol

2000 dollars for 20 hp i feel is a little expensive. 100 per one hp gain is crazy unless your a baller and can afford it.

yeah, the problem is that the cams aren't mass produced. there's no demand for them.
