Dear members,

My ride W202 C220 94 is currently on H&R with standard absorber and standard spring pad. I enjoy the ride so much and love the low set up. The problem is when there is a speed bump and most of the time the intermediate silencer and catalytic converter will hit the bump. I would like to lift up the car to accommodate the bump. Thinking of replacing the spring pads but not sure what No/combination (DOT 1, 2 or 3) should I go. Please do share your experience. Thanks

most factory pads are usually 4 and i think they make a 5 but not sure... a spring pad is a rubber piece that gets put on top of the spring, the smaller the number the thinner the pad.

if i recall my factory pads were #4 but i replaced my fronts with #1 since the stance in front didn't look right . the front was sitting a little high then the back for my taste.

Spring pads that are on the car was determined by the options when the car was purchased.

THERE WAS NO SPECIFIC SPRING PAD SETUP FOR ANY MODEL YEAR CAR.
