So this is a TEST FIT for now.. I need to run a different tire up front to help clear the fenders.
I didnt have any issues with my W210 AMG Monoblocks, but that wheel was a 18x8 ET 31 up front and a 18x9 ET35 for the rear with 245/40/18 and 285/35/18 tires.
But with the SL55 wheels.. they are 18x8.5 ET30 and 18x9.5 ET33. so I need to change the front tire to a 225/40/18 for fitment and I should be able to turn my steering wheel full lock without rubbing too much!!
with the 245 tire set up I cant even turn my steering wheel half way before it touches the fender (as you can see in the pic!!) still keeping the 285/35 rear tire.
so as soon as I get tires I will put them on and take new pics.

thanks for the comments.. I like them. they do look pretty nice.. a lil dtm?!
and as for brake pads.. I was running dustless ones, but I found that the braking performance was less, and they ended up toasting my rotors.. heat cracking and everything on them.
really did a number on them. so I decided to just go back to stock pads and rotors for now.
Im going to be doing a lot of cleaning!!
can the front wheel center cover be fitted?

does it make alot of noise?

I chose the Axxis Deluxe Plus because they are supposed to be a good compromise and provide equal braking compared to OEM pads. They aren't like full ceramic which require heat before they will work well and supposedly they aren't like highly metallic pads that really eat through rotors. Time will tell if they are right.
The whole naming/branding thing for Axxis is kind of confusing. The company uses a number of brand names and model names for the same thing. Axxis is PBR. The Deluxe Plus are now sometimes sold as the Deluxe Advance or just Advance.
No noise and they really are super low on dust.
Someone posted a link for a dealer out in the Northwest who has great prices but I have lost it so you will have to search. I bought a set of front pads for $40 plus like $8 shipping.
Don't forget you will need sensors and anti squeal paste.

yes indeed.. 285!!! they are pretty close but if you finesse the fenders!!
and good eye!! the rear and the front fenders are custom.. nothing huge, but pushed out enough for clearance. they look good, but I want WIDER!!

wow, I'm impressed, now get some nice MB center cars (blue leaf or black leaf) and they wheels will look great. I'm impressed man, It gives it a very nice old school AMG look. of the newer AMG rims i've seen on W202s those seem to be the best by far in terms of fitting the cars character.

a bit of both!! I originally rolled them with a proper fender roller.. then the paint cracked too much in a couple spots so I had them recently fixed. they look good.

yes I did have to trim the moldings down a bit as well. They were easy to trim.

just to update, I have installed the rear wheels to my car.. I swapped the rear 285/35/18 dunlop tires for 265/35/18 conti sport contact 2's. so far no rubbing at all!!
now just waiting for 2 front tires and pics will be posted!
Pics of the wheels, blacked out grill, and black projector headlights with hid kit! (as long as I install them soon!)

Okay, I have finally got them on for good. got new tires for the front, 225/40/18 Conti Sport Contact 3's, and 265/35/18 Conti Sport Contacts.
very minimal rubbing on the left front when a full lock. thet fit very well for such a high offset. look great too.. enjoy the pics.

A quick question, what kind of pavement contact do you have, I,m looking for the width at the ground

more pics please!
ps:front left is where i also have rubbing issues.... i think most 202's have this issue
mine is the other way around, rubbing on the right hand side & clear most of the time on the left. :D prob is because it's RHD, there is more weight on the right side.

umm.. not too sure. its not the full 265mm, but my tire is slightly stretched on the rim.. 9.5" rim with a 265 tire. so I bet its almost the entire 265mm.

you should of gotten lower profile tires. Probably 225/35/18 fronts would make a huge difference.... But it looks great.. keep it up ;)

I think his tire choice is fine...
the fronts would have looked too skinny compared to the rears.
