all black avangarde grill

ive done the forum search its not here, where can i get an all black grill avantgarde grill, the insert and actual frame should be black ive seen it on some mercs on the net but cant find it help!!

You should get a grill then spray it with black paint. You won't find any blackened grill.

To be honest I think a lot of people just take it to a decent spray shop and get them to spray it.

i did it myself as well sanded it down and sprayed it mat black with some spray paint been on there now for 4 months fine a few chips but i can easily respray :)

mine is Black Chrome..
don't have upclose pics.
how they do it is leave the OEM chrome on touch then spray it with clear black (kind of smoke).

I believe someone on the board has this grill and they said it was more of a matte or dull black than gloss.

dude just sand down a grille, use grey primer and use a glossy black paint about 3-5 coats.. seal it and it will look very glossy..

I did mine with sand, primer, and 3 coats of flat black. Took no time at all, been painted for like 3 months and it's still holding up super well. Plus, who cares if it chips, just throw another coat on.

Does Avantgarde grille come complete with outer frame?

Painting is it thick factory paint that sticks well and doesn't peel off from stonechips?

Buying then painting an Avantgarde grill should be easy. If you want to get creative, paint - then cover with black carbon fiber wrap :D

is it glossy black or matte black grille?

Is it painted black or is the grille manufactured by blackened chrome to avoid chipping???
If being painted, is it thick black paint non sensitive to chipping?

What about the inside plastic covers to prevent crap flying into the airfilter compartment?
Standard w202 uses 1 protective cover.
C43 AMG uses 1 cover on each side for airfilter protection.

Grille is it perfect fit on the bonnet?
