CEL Light

I had my smog check fail because CEL would not come on in position 2. Everthing else measured out ok. Smog tech told me to check bulb, which I did and found that it was burnt out. I have replaced it but now the CEL light stays on while running, does not come off after all others go out. Car runs fine. Is it a need to reset this after changing out the bulb?

they tech probably left your CEL toggled on if they were checking functionality of the ECU.

If you have time, I would go by Autozone and borrow their free OBD II code scanner and scan the car just to make sure there isn't a code that the emissions guy didn't see. I am guessing the light burned out due to being on so long, so that would indicate and error back then plus the fact it is still trying to illuminate now.
