Who's got a Valentine 1 radar detector

Hi buds who's got a V1 with the concealed display,Can you post some pictures were you put your C.D. on the dash for a discrete reason. I'm thinking of buying a V1 so good input is recquierd with pictures.

Here's where I placed mine. Created a custom bracket for it and put it line-of-sight with the speedometer. Wiring goes behind the dash:

Hey bud thanx for the pics. How did you manage to put it to the speedometer glass>? On the backside it has a mountin bracket that takes some place.

#So where is the best place to put the concealed display on a C43 AMG>?

thats some intense questions at the bottom,
i also run a v1, i have a reletively new version, and theres no bug issues etc, ive owned a couple and there all mint,
my mate has the newest version but he swears its no different from myne
in my view the best radar detector by far, the arrows are very handy, to tell cop direction,
good detection distance,

Best place is subjective. I prefer the place I put it to keep everything inline...meaning I don't have to glance off to the side at some random angle. I think it also makes sense to have it near the speedo so you can know how fast you are going at the same time you get the warning.

I have the FW just before they added POP.

It has saved me countless times...even the first morning I had it. Not meaning I was speeding necessarily during all those times, rather it has properly informed me where traps are and from where, I have been in situations where I was one of the few cars that didn't get pulled over. Might be true for other detectors, but the indicators gives you more peace of mind knowing where you are getting hit (so you know where to look).

I have not had any problems with it...

Only gripe I do have is the window mount. It's too flimsy. I wish they made a mount that has one big suction cup like the GPS units.

If there was ever a RD that was worthy of customizing as a stealth install, I think the V1 would be it.
