Hi Guys,

I noticed on some of the member's pics that they swapped out the OEM hood liner for aluminum/foam insulation.

I also noticed that the side with the foil is facing towards the engine.

Since I live in a tropical (hot and humid) climate, would you guys recommend that I just do away with the liner? My liner's about ready to die anyway (considering that it's 14 years old).

If you guys recommend using the aluminum insulation, wouldn't the foil reflect heat onto the engine?

Is there any danger of not having the hood liner at all?

Thanks for any inputs!!!

lmao was it me?

i just put the dynamat crap one on there...you need 2 boxes.....the dumb fu*ks changing my oil started the car without caping it and the hood wasn't open 90 degrees and all the oil poured out on it...it sucked up a quart.....

no matter wat it will always be hotter inside then outside, and that hoodline now is just to keep engine head from making the hood hot to the touch...

i lived in florida...it was fine, no making the car overheat

hi cru,

Thanks for the reply.... hahahaha!! I think it was YOUR car I saw...

I guess there would be no harm in putting a liner under the hood. Besides, I don't want my new paint job fading just yet :)
